Grade 1 Teacher - Maestrataraprongsaintbasilcatholic.comAfter growing up in Bangor, living in different states around the Great Lakes, and recently spending 5 1/2 years working at a children’s home in Idaho, it is great to be back home. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University and am looking forward to my first year of teaching at St. Basil. I have experience teaching my own kids for several years, coaching running & volleyball, leading children’s worship & choirs, writing curriculum for children’s ministry, lifeguarding, camp counseling, and working with many disadvantaged youth from failed adoptions.
My husband Nathan and I have been married 24 years. We have six children ranging from ages 9-21, a son-in-law & two grandsons, and several “bonus” kids that call our family home. I love making memories with my family, hospitality, cooking, swimming, children’s literature, playing games, and embracing this beautiful town!
